Limni
The picturesque city
of Evia
Limni is one of the most beautiful towns in Evia, and is well known for its architecture and the cobble stone paths. Here you will find many Byzantine monuments, such as the church of Zoodohos Pigi and the ascetic cave of Saint Hristodoulos from Patmos.
At the coast you will find many traditional tavernas and ouzo places, cafes, bars and of course the ideal atmosphere for relaxing holidays. During the summer the "Elimnia" takes place, which consists of cultural events, with theater nights, classic, modern and folklore music, athletic events and more. Limni is a traditional town, but offers all the modern services and comforts, such as cinemas, banks, and shops.
Limni was also the home of the independence fighter Angelis Govios, Greek resistance activist, Lela Karagianni and the film director and screenwriter Nikos Tsiforos.
